Messenger Ads: How To
When starting with FB/Instagram ads, what is the most important thing 90% of business owners have told me they want to see? Tangible results, and they want to see them fast.
You probably don’t want to hear a long story about how you should buy my course with 120 hours of material to learn everything about Facebook ads.
Side note, I do not have a course… not yet!
Most business owners simply want ads that work. They want to get them set up fast, and they want make a small investment, get leads, and get back to work.
If that sounds like you, or if you are a novice marketer that wants to get results for your clients right away, I have a simple solution that you can set up today as a one-man army.
Another side note: This a technique I have successfully implemented over and over again to satisfy clients in 6 countries over the past 3 years.

Using this technique, I helped an NYC staffing firm find 81 qualified applicants for a job.
For this contractor in Israel, I got 41 leads in a niche market. One contract is worth thousands of dollars.
This party promoter in Barcelona is getting group bookings. The client kept this campaign running more than a year after I left them.
And here’s the best part… In my experience, I’ve been able to get meaningful results for my clients in less than a week with this simple tactic.
By the title of this blog post, you probably guessed it, we’re going to use FB Messenger ads. What are Messenger ads you may ask?
Very simply put, Messenger ads are FB/Instagram ads where the little button you push (also known as a CTA) says, “send message.”
When the user clicks on this, they are brought directly to your FB Messenger or Whatsapp where you or your staff can start talking to the client and closing sales right away!
As you can see in this example from a nanny service in Connecticut, it’s just like any other ad on FB/Instagram, but when the person clicks on the button, they are put directly in touch with your team.
How to get your first results:
Set up a simple ad that is highly targeted. If you are a local business, this can be as simple as targeting the geographic area where your potential customers live. You can really make any ad that will catch the prospect’s attention and get them to engage. This can be as simple as selecting one of your existing posts and promoting it. The idea here is to increase the number of qualified people who have engaged with your page.
Retargeting with a Messenger ad. If you don’t know what a custom audience is, you can read about them here, but simply put, it’s an option on Facebook where rather than guessing who your fans are, you tell Facebook, “send my ad to people who have engaged with my page before.”
Voila! Just following these two steps will get you real leads in a matter of days.
Why it works:
You have a service people want. Some of these people might not know you exist, or forgot. You are getting your message in front of the right people and you made it easy for them to take action in just one click.
